How to Read the Photos
Rejuran Healer before and after photos usually skip the timeline, which makes results look faster and more dramatic than what most patients actually experience.
How long until I see results from Rejuran Healer? Change is gradual. In the periorbital study cited below, patients’ scores had improved at the first check one month after treatment and peaked at three months. Clinics usually plan 3 to 4 sessions about 2 to 4 weeks apart, so a fair after photo is one taken weeks after the last session, not days after the first. That pattern is different from treatments designed to show an immediate before-and-after difference.
Why Progress
Looks Gradual, Not Sudden
Rejuran is thought to work by supporting the skin’s own repair processes, including collagen production, so change accumulates rather than appearing all at once. This means comparing a photo from day one to a photo from day thirty of a single session often shows a fairly subtle difference, while comparing before the first session to after the last session of a full course shows something more noticeable. Our Rejuran Healer overview covers what the treatment is designed to change in the first place.
What Changes First
vs. What Takes Longer
Different aspects of skin quality tend to shift on different timelines.
| Change | Typical Timing |
|---|---|
| Overall hydration and glow | Often the first thing patients mention, though timing varies |
| Fine texture irregularities | Gradual improvement building over the full course |
| Acne scar softening | Slower to change, often needing the full course to see a clear difference |
| Firmness and elasticity | Continues improving for weeks after the last session |
Setting Expectations
That Match Reality
Patients who go in expecting a gradual, cumulative improvement tend to be more satisfied with their results than those expecting an immediate transformation. Skin type, starting condition, and how closely a course is followed all influence how visible the final change is.
For what other patients generally report about effectiveness, our Rejuran review guide covers that in more depth, and for what a session actually involves, see our treatment process guide.
What Study Timelines
Look Like Next to a Gallery
Clinic galleries rarely say when the second photograph was taken, which is the single most useful thing to know about it. Published studies do say, and the shape of their timelines makes a fair reference point.
A 2026 prospective observational study in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology followed 42 patients receiving intradermal polynucleotide injections for the under-eye area, using validated FACE-Q patient questionnaires at baseline and again at one, three and six months after treatment. Improvements in lower eyelid and crow’s feet scores were significant at every follow-up point compared with baseline, and adverse events, assessed two days after each session, were minimal. Each session used 2 mL at a concentration of 7.5 mg/mL.
Two features of that design are worth carrying into how you read a gallery. The first is that the measurement points were spread across half a year rather than taken at one moment, so a result presented simply as being from after treatment is not comparable to anything. The second is that the outcome was partly patient-reported rather than purely photographic. That is a reminder that how skin looks in a controlled photograph and how it looks to the person living in it are different measurements that do not always move together.
None of this makes a gallery useless. It makes the caption the important part. A pair labelled with the interval, the number of sessions and the area treated can be read against a study timeline. A pair labelled only before and after cannot.
A Quick Check
for Any Gallery Pair
Before reading anything into a before and after pair, check the conditions of the two photographs. Most misleading comparisons fail on one of these points rather than on anything to do with the treatment.
| Check | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Lighting and angle match | Softer or more frontal light hides texture and pores on its own, with no treatment involved |
| No makeup, filter or retouching in either shot | A beauty filter or a light base in the after photo can outdo any skin booster |
| Same expression and camera distance | A slight smile or a tighter crop changes how fine lines and under-eye texture look |
| Stated interval and session count | Without them there is nothing to compare against the study timelines above |
| Other treatments disclosed | Rejuran is often combined with lasers or other injectables, and a photo cannot show which one did the work |
If a clinic shows you photos during a consultation, it is reasonable to ask for these details, and a clinic that stands behind its results should be able to give them. For how combined plans are usually put together, see our guide to combining Rejuran with other treatments.

Frequently Asked
Questions
- Will I see a dramatic difference after just one session?
- Most patients notice subtle changes after one session, with more visible results building as they complete a full course rather than a single visit.
- Do results vary a lot between individuals?
- Yes, starting skin condition, age, and how consistently a course is followed all influence how visible the final result is for a given person.
- How long do results last once I complete a course?
- There is little published data on how long results last. The periorbital study cited here still found improvement at six months, its last check. Clinics set their own maintenance schedules, which reflect practice rather than a tested interval. Our guide on how often to get Rejuran covers maintenance.
- Should I take photos to track my own progress?
- Taking a baseline photo before starting and periodic photos in consistent lighting can help you notice gradual change that’s easy to miss day to day.
- Is it normal for progress to plateau partway through a course?
- Some patients notice steadier, less dramatic change partway through, which is generally normal; the full course is designed to build cumulative results by its end.

Before You Decide
Results vary from person to person, and a provider’s assessment of your own skin tells you more than any gallery.
